About Your Diploma

Working with animals is a dream job for many of us, and if your ambition is to care for some of wildlife’s most fascinating creatures in the animal kingdom, then becoming a Zookeeper is an ideal career path for you.

If you feel passionate about a career working within a zoo, but you are unable to commit to the full course at this time, then we have an option that includes spreading the cost of the course over two stages.

There is no need for you to give up on your dream as you can study our Zookeeping Level 3 Diploma (RQF) in two parts, beginning with Part 1. Rather than having to complete the entire course within two years, you can complete one part in the same timeframe.

This extension gives you the time you need both personally and financially to navigate through the course and gain the qualification you desire to kickstart your career path. When you enrol on our Zookeeping Level 3 Diploma (RQF) – Part 1, you can spread 50% of the cost of the entire course fee over a longer period of time.

This option means that any financial pressure is alleviated from your shoulders and there is no pressure on you to finish Part 1 and then begin Part 2 straight away. However, if you complete Part 1 in less than two years, you will get Part 2 of the course for a discounted price.

During Part 1 of your studies, you will explore a wide range of topics that will get you prepared for a future in zookeeping. From animal welfare and conservation to zoo design and disease prevention, you will gain essential knowledge and skills that prospective employers will be looking for.

The first stage of the course focuses on theory-based modules, while Part 2 contains a practical element in a real zoo. Please note that to achieve your Level 3 diploma, you need to complete both Part 1 and Part 2.

Getting Started

By splitting this recognised RQF qualification into two stages, you benefit from a financial perspective and having a longer time to complete it means that you can fit it around your existing commitments.

While the structure of our course split is a huge draw, you also get the convenience of completing our Zookeeping Level 3 Diploma (RQF) – Part 1 entirely online. This means that you can make your way through the modules from the comfort of your own home.

To assist you through the course, you will get support and guidance from experienced tutors. Once you have completed Part 1, you can choose when to enrol on Part 2, there is no rush! However, to achieve the qualification, you need to complete Part 2.

Remember, if you complete Part 1 in less than two years, you will get a discount on Part 2! This first stage of learning will get you one step closer to achieving your career goal.
